1. Must be stock block Kohler, Briggs or Tecumseh single cylinder, flat head engines 15 hp and under,
with nine bolt heads. Max. 4000 rpm. Foot or hand throttle permitted. 2. Fuel maybe gasoline or VP C-12. No alcohol.
3. The engine must look stock on the outside. Must have stock stroke for engine, all other internal
modifications are acceptable. An access hole over the piston is recommended for checking purposes.
Aftermarket points and electronic ignition allowed.
4. The head may be after market or billet but must look like a OEM, i.e. must have fins; head bolts
must match a stock OEM head gasket. Head straps are allowed.
5. OEM cast flywheel with no cutting, welding, or adding weight or steel flywheels are acceptable.
6. Carburetor must be stock carb for engine or a Kohler or Walbro, carb spacers, velocity stacks and
bottom adjusts are acceptable. No high performance fuel pumps.
7. Exhaust pipes, with no muffler, must discharge vertically, 12" minimum from center of bend.
8. 26 x 12.00 x 12" max. rear tire size, with a maximum rollout of 78". Cutting permitted. No
professional pulling tires allowed, this includes, but not limited to tires by Dick Cepek, Lawn Tec, Pit
Bull and VM series of tires. After market wheels and 3 rib tires permitted.
9. 13" hitch height. The hitch must have a 1.5" diameter hole for sled hook and be 1/2" thick at point of
hook.
10. Must use stock garden tractor frame and transaxle, but may be modified for engine installation. No
portion of any tractor may exceed 7 feet forward of the center of the rear wheel, including weights. 52"
wheelbase maximum.
11. Engine tech items will be RPM with no tolerance, stock stroke, exterior appearance and no alcohol.
If engine is other than K-Kohler you must supply tech person with a stock head gasket for your engine.

We will run two separate Mod Twin Classes. Recast head twins WILL NOT run with the stock head twins. Stock Head twins may signup and run in the Recast Head Class if they choose to.

STOCK OEM HEAD CLASS (Stock head with no welding. On stock head engines only minimal epoxy will be allowed, no excessive use on the external portion of the intake port. Maximum allowable amount would be an area of not more the 1 square inch per head. Intake manifold must bolt directly to the stock intake flange on head with a maximum of .030 thick intake gasket. NQS PRO STOCK

50.5 CUBIC INCH LIMIT
Single cylinder Pro-Stock is defined as having a one cylinder, air cooled four cycle flat head, two
valves same side, commercially produced manufactured cast block engine. Sleeves and welding
permitted. Commercially produced manufactured cast block means made by Kohler, Wisconsin,
Briggs, Tecumseh and etc. If copy is being made, copied block must meet basic manufactures specs for
that engine being copied. Crank and cam location, deck height, two valves same side, valve angle
(maximum valve angle of 6 degrees), intake and exhaust port location and factory head gasket bolt
pattern.
A stock appearing Kohler type carburetor must be used if other than stock for the model engine being
used. Stand off pipe or ram tubes are permitted. Choke may be removed. Single carburetor only. Air
restricting venturi must be in stock position or carburetor not to be larger diameter than 1.200". Air
controlled by butterfly in stock position in carburetor, no slides, no injection, naturally aspirated only.
No air entering after 1.200" restriction.
All tractors must have hood and grill.
Tractors must run alcohol (NO ADDITIVES). Fuel must remain essentially clear during water test.
Fuel can also be checked via Hydrometer-- .7928 Specific Gravity maximum. Comment: The NQS
uses as a rule for clarity is that in a 2" diameter jar the tech person must be able to see through the fuel
to their fingers on the other side jar. No fingers--no pass. PULLERS: You can check yourself before
the pull with plain tap water.
No pressurized fuel tanks, No Nitrous Oxide.
All final drive belts must be covered top 180 degrees and all flywheel and clutch assemblies must be
covered 360 degrees with 1/8" steel or 3/16" aluminum.
No weights to extend beyond rear tires.
Max Wheelbase is 56? Maximum length of tractor is 8 foot from centerline of rear axle forward.

 

NQS SUPER STOCK

50.5 CUBIC INCH LIMIT
Any type of Naturally Aspirated induction is permitted.
All pro stock rules apply except carburetion.

Compact Diesel Pro Stock
(1) Engine will be no more than 3 cylinders. May be liquid or air cooled. .
(2) Engine will be no more than 75 cubic inches
(3) Water injection will be allowed.
(4) Engine modifications are permitted = Rods, Pistons, Cam, Fuel system.
(5)Head work is permitted on stock heads. No Billet heads. No overhead cams.
(6) Injector and injector pump modifications allowed. No Billet injector pumps.
(7) Turbo charging is permitted, but limited to one turbo only.
Turbo will be fitted with a shut down guillotine on the compressor inlet side of the
turbo. Exhaust ?L? of turbo must have minimum of 5/16 cross in elbow with exhaust to
discharge vertically
(8) Electric fuel supply pump is permitted with positive power wire to have disconnect
at rear of tractor
9) No propane or nitrous of any kind will be permitted.
(10)Stock frames or stock appearing frame rails with full hood, grill and side shields
will be permitted- No tube frames. Chassis may be modified to accept engine.
(11) Must use a lawn mower rear end / transaxle. No cut down automotive rear ends or
Panzers
(12) Full metal side shields to cover engine area (minimum 16 gauge)
(13) Must run 5/16? cable around oil pan over top of valve cover in a complete circle
connected with cable clamps
(14) Must run steel flywheel and front engine pulleys should also be billet steel or aluminum,
no stanped steel, cast iron or cast aluminum pulleys.
(15) Clutch assembly and fly wheel must be surrounded 360 degrees with 1/8? metal or

(6) Injector and injector pump modifications allowed. No Billet injector pumps. ( No electronic FUEL injection)

(7) Turbo charging is permitted, but limited to one turbo only.

         - No inter-cooler or ice boxes permitted

Turbo will be fitted with an air shut off and Kill switch device mounted on rear of tractor must disconnect power to electric fuel supply pump along with activating turbo air shut off on the compressor inlet side of the turbo.

Exhaust ?L? of turbo must have minimum of 5/16 cross in elbow with exhaust to discharge vertically

(8) Electric fuel supply pump permited

(9) No propane or nitrous of any kind will be permitted.

 NQS Super Stock and NQS Pro V-Twin run together.

NQS Super Stock runs at 1050 lbs and 13" hitch

NQS stock head twins with no welding runs at 1025 lbs with 12.5" hitch

NQS Pro V-twins with aftermarket or welded heads run at 1000 lbs. and a 12.5" hitch height.

Pro V-Twin: Maximum engine size is 45.5 cubic inches. Carburetor: Limited to one (1) carburetor with one (1) venturi with one (1) throttle butterfly. Maximum venturi size will be 1.200". No air entering after the 1.200" restriction.
